Preschool for Threes (Pre-K3)

We believe early learning begins with meaningful opportunities to discover through play. Our two day per week preschool for threes program engages toddlers through play and sensory learning experiences as they are introduced to biblical principles, letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. Our three-year-old teachers stimulate each child's curiosity and love of learning through a routine schedule of reading, singing, and imaginative play. 


Curriculum Overview:


  • Bible - Old & New Testament stories 
  • Health - personal hygiene, indoor and outdoor safety
  • Math - counting with numbers 1-10, sorting, patterns, order, size relationships, spatial reasoning
  • Phonics - letter recognition, letter sounds
  • Science - seasons, weather, nature discovery
  • Social Studies - family members, community helpers
  • Writing - development of fine motor skills

Preschool for Fours (Pre-K4)

Haltom Christian School immerses our preschool students in a creative and fun education through sensory centers, crafts, games, story time, and songs. Our curriculum further develops their knowledge of letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. A thematic unit that explores the biblical account of the seven days of creation is directly reflected through in-depth science lessons, STEM activities, and art projects allowing students to discover and delve into each miraculous creation in depth. 


Curriculum Overview:


  • Bible - Old & New Testament stories explore Walking God's Way
  • Health - personal hygiene, indoor and outdoor safety 
  • Math - numbers, addition and subtraction with numbers 1-5, introduction to telling time 
  • Phonics - letter recognition, letter sounds, vocabulary
  • Science - seasons, weather, animals, plants, the human body
  • Social Studies - community helpers
  • Writing - penmanship, write first name

* Preschool for Threes students must be three years old by September 1st of the current school year.  

* Preschool for Fours students must be four years old by September 1st of the current school year. 

* All children enrolled in preschool classes must be fully potty-trained.
