Heather Gonzales is the principal of Haltom Christian School. She is married to a Fort Worth police officer, and they have three beautiful daughters who inspire her to cherish every teachable moment.
Heather's mission is to be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit as the Lord's purpose is established at Haltom Christian School. At an early age, she displayed a passion for education. After graduating salutatorian from her high school, she pursued a teaching degree at the University of North Texas where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Her background in education was strengthened while teaching Language Arts to high school students. However, it wasn’t until homeschooling her own children that she realized the importance of teachable moments and the paramount effect a partnership between parents and teachers can have in a child’s education
By God's grace and divine intervention, Haltom Christian School was established to partner with parents to build a biblical foundation by which children can grow academically and spiritually.
Heather is excited to embark on this adventure during Haltom Christian School's inaugural year as we all rejoice in the days of small beginnings.

Margaret Wahlen is the music teacher at Haltom Christian School. She has always placed a great importance on family and education. She graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in music. She wasn’t planning on becoming a teacher and wanted to remain a stay at home mom until her two daughters were in school. She knew God was placing her there and remained with the school district for 15 years, eventually teaching grades K-12. God opened the door for her to complete her California Teaching Credential at Point Loma Nazarene University. In 2007, Margaret was offered a teaching job at Calvin Christian and she taught grades K-5 for 7 years.
Margaret also traveled seven times with the high school top ensemble to sing at Carnegie Hall, in New York City, and took other groups to San Francisco and Vancouver, Canada.
Throughout all these opportunities Margaret has seen God moving in the lives of her students. She knows that God has called her to teach and has called her to specifically teach kids music! She is so excited that God has placed her at Haltom Christian School to be a part of this incredible beginning. Margaret loves kids and even more loves to teach kids music!
