Heather Gonzales is the principal of Haltom Christian School. She is married to a Fort Worth police officer, and together they have three beautiful daughters who inspire her to cherish every moment.
From an early age, Heather displayed a passion for education. She pursued her teaching degree at the University of North Texas and holds a Master's degree in Education Administration from Texas Wesleyan University. However, it wasn’t until homeschooling her own children that she realized the importance of teachable moments and the paramount effect a partnership between parents and teachers can have in a child’s education.
Heather's goal is to make sure every student has a memorable educational experience. She loves seeing the wonder on each child's face as they explore curriculum and God's word. She ensures each child at Haltom Christian School knows why they are an ARCHER - that their aim is to love God and others, that they were each created to hit a specific target, that following Christ leads them straight to their mark.
Heather's mission is that the Lord's purpose be established at Haltom Christian School. By God's grace and divine intervention, she is excited to continue this adventure with the Lord at HCS!
Amy has been married to her husband, Craig, for over twenty years and has two daughters, Cassidy and Maddy. She treasures spending time with her family and longs to relish in every family moment. Together they enjoy hanging out at bookstores and drinking coffee or playing games.
Amy has a degree in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of North Texas. She has a heart for non-profit organizations and children’s ministries, and this was the start of God’s plan to move her into teaching. Once Amy knew the Lord’s leading of her heart, she went back to school to receive her teaching certification. She has been serving in elementary Christian education ever since.
At HCS, Amy serves as a support to students, parents, and teachers by establishing genuine personal connections. This is her eleventh year in private education, and she is passionate about integrating the Word of God in the classroom. Amy cares deeply about meeting students where they are in their education and helping them to recognize and use their own God given strengths to gain confidence and bring glory to the Lord.
Amy has seen the fruits of a Christian education in her own children and desires to help shape hearts for Christ. She is currently seeking a master’s degree in special education based on the call the Lord put on her heart. She hopes to inspire others by creating a joyful learning journey.

Tanya has been married to her husband, Kerry, for over 10 years, and together they have three energetic children that keep them going! While their hands may be full, Tanya would not change a thing.
Because Tanya comes from a family of educators, she discovered her passion for teaching at an early age. She holds a Child Development Associates and over 16 years of experience in working in early education. Tanya continues her career at HCS where she has faithfully served since the foundation of the school.
Tanya strives to make every day a fun day of exploration for her students, and she believes children learn best when they are shown love and trust. Her goal is to make sure each child goes home at the end of the day feeling special, loved, and heard.
Tanya is blessed to call HCS her home away from home and the students and staff her second family. She looks forward to helping children build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and growing in her own spiritual walk alongside her students. She is excited to see the plans the Lord has for HCS and is ready for another year of adventure with our new Archers!
Caily Maijala is the Kindergarten teacher at Haltom Christian School. Caily is very close to her family, and when she is not at work you can find her spending time with her three sisters and her parents. She enjoys traveling, hiking, art, and photography.
Caily is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Liberty University with a
minor in business. She also attended Calvary Chapel Bible College, England, to study biblical theology.
Caily has a heart for ministry and a heart for nurturing children in the way they should go. The Lord has continually placed Caily in ministry opportunities in both her personal and professional life that involve her serving children. She has served in many different children's ministries prior to joining Haltom Christian School in 2021; however, it wasn’t until being welcomed into the HCS family that Caily really felt God place the calling of becoming a teacher on her heart. For the past two years Caily has served as the PreKindergarten and PreSchool teacher at HCS.
Caily's goal is to make sure every student leaves her classroom with a smile. She wants each child to feel loved while at school and to help them find a love for learning as they grow in spiritual wisdom and academics. She is excited to witness the growth of each of her students as they explore learning with a fun and interactive approach.
Caily can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for Haltom Christian School this year. She is excited to be used by Him to teach and help grow His little children!
Annah Branch is excited to start her second year as the first grade teacher at HCS. She is married to Billy Branch, the manager of Tempest Freerunning Academy in Southlake. Together they are celebrating the purchase of their first home, fulfilling their dream to own a bit of land in the country. In the coming years, they plan to raise plants and animals for food, sharing those skills with the children they hope God will bless them with.
Annah graduated from Pepperdine University with a Liberal Arts degree in Education and a teaching credential. Someday, Annah hopes to move to Nigeria and teach there long-term. God placed the desire on her heart when she was very young, and she has been blessed to visit Africa twice. No matter where she is, she feels strongly called to protect and nurture life in the most vulnerable places.
Annah has been singing and playing the piano all of her life, and she is excited to bring music into her classroom. She is looking forward to spreading worship, fun, and learning with her students this year.
At HCS, Annah feels blessed to be able to share her faith openly.
